Notes:
- Shades exist for the 47c Flag, but they do not appear to relate
to the two different printers. Single stamps from the CBN and Ashton
printings appear to be indistinguishable.

Notes:
- See page 2 for information on the
"Peaks" and "Valley" die cutting.
- The three coil stamps have coloured "swatches" over the hidden
date, green for the 60c, violet for the 75c and magenta for the
$1.05. The two booklet stamps, 60c & $1.05 do not have them. See
Illustration on page 2. It is very
easy to see the swatch when holding the stamp to normal light at a
slight angle. It appears shiny and almost 3d.
- v1 of the 60c Fox has the swatch omitted, or perhaps below the other
colours.
- The Fox's whiskers are sharper on the 60c coil stamp than on the
booklet stamp.
- Shades exist for the 60c Fox booklet stamps, varying from
yellowish to reddish.
- The $1.05 stamp on JAC watermarked paper and with a shallow die cut is a forgery, created to defraud the post office. (Thanks to Sébastien Simard for the information)
